I don’t have as much time today as usual, but I still wanted to get a list out. So, I’m going with a straight list of cool games instead of splitting them into sections. Here are some of the coolest-looking games coming out (or already out) this week!
I also wanted to shout out Little Aviary, which released last week. It’s currently on sale for under $3 and it’s been an absolute delight to have the little birds flying around on my screen as I work. Plus, the developer Tom Daly is a solo dev who’s been updating the game based on user feedback on a daily basis since its launch. Check it out!
Note: I haven’t personally played these (yet!), but I’ve hand-picked some of the most interesting upcoming releases—most of them indie!
Steam Games Releasing Nov 24–30:

- Abandoned Archive by Vedal (Nov 24): A spell-casting roguelike. I’d just like to highlight this review by OMGSPY!, which ends with “12/10 I entered as a man and left as an algorithmic miracle.“
- Constance by btf (Nov 24): Gorgeous side-scrolling platformer about art and mental health.
- Just the Boss Fights by Tactical Toad LLC (Nov 24): Skip the boring adventuring stuff and just do the boss fights. Silly, tongue-in-cheek, self-aware humor.
- Hunter’s Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure by Crimson Herring Studios (Nov 24): From the Steam description, this is “a Victorian Steampunk Roguelite Deckbuilder.”
- Cowboy Life Simulator by Odd Qubit (Nov 24): Cozy living in the Wild West.
- Captain Wayne – Vacation Desperation by Ciaran Games LLC (Nov 25): A retro shooter that looks like you’re playing a cartoon.
- AFTERBLAST by Lumino Games (Nov 26): Hectic solo or co-op FPS. Get stronger with each run!
- Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved by Armonica LLC (Nov 26): This mystery adventure game reminds me so much of the classic DS game Hotel Dusk and I love that. Beautiful animations, an intriguing story… I’ll be checking this one out for sure.
- Afallon by Stargazing interactive (Nov 27): From the Steam description, this is “is a single-player RPG with the feel of an MMO.” Gorgeous visuals and a vast world. I believe this might be a solo dev, too, which makes it even more impressive.
- Huntsman by OnTheHouse Studios (Nov 27): Maybe don’t play this if you have a fear of spiders.
- Dingir OS by SpoocleMacBoogle (Nov 27): A short interactive story about the horrors that lurk in the dark web.
- Pinono and the magic fiddle by helomiux (Nov 27): A beautiful fairy tale-like story about a girl who casts magic using music.
- Light Up The Town by Meadow Studios (Nov 28): Get into the holiday spirit with this charming game about a ferret hanging up lights.
- Ayasa: Shadows of Silence by Aya Games (Nov 28): Dark and deliciously creepy horror adventure game.
- Isekat: Crushed by a Computer, My Beloved Kitten is Transported to a Fantasy World where its Typing Skills Save the Kingdom! by InSpite (Nov 28): Yeah, that’s the title.
